He built to their specifications utilizing the best materials and designs, the dealer would then mark up the limos and sell them under their brand. Many of his builds were exported to mostly Russia, China and other overseas customers. He also produced some show cars for these dealers and other builders to promote their sales. Ultimately the dealers ‘worked’ Isidro. They got him to make designs he drew (he is an excellent draftsman) with the promise that he would build any subsequent copies they sold. His designs, which featured exterior straight lines with interior curves were a hit in the market but Isidro did not get to build the additional orders. There were also problems with exporting to countries like Russia, Tax was raised substantially on imports. Isidro indicates that a couple of the coaches he built in 2009 bound for Russia were held up in European ports until two months ago!

His father in-law is the bodywork expert and his brother in-law specializes in the art of finishing, doing the wildest color combinations to date. In NY, Top was building cars and doing repairs for several years already. Isidro with his father and brother in-law, came and introduced better materials and way different coach building techniques including better body work and structure advancements. He brought some of his interior designs into work, including rebuilding the new Transformer Limos. The first build was a money maker but too difficult to maintain, so after rebuilding the first Transformer and finishing the International, A sketch and plan of the H2 replacement was made in 2011, to be built on a later date.

Unique vehicles including the convertible QX56 for a famous artist in Pakistan, several Ford F350 custom Re- Bodies and some very beautiful limos for VIP clients until end of 2013. Isidro’s main customers, Chinese entrepreneurs, decided to get into the manufacturing business in CA and Isidro did not want to compete with them for business so he franchised his California Blackstone operation to the Chinese leaving the fully operational shop to them, but not before making a show car Chrysler 300 for the 2013 NJ limo show. After training, shaking hands and saying good bye, He and the whole family moved to NYC to start the Transformer design at Top Limo NY. The Chinese operated Blackstone closed down 6 months after Isidro left, they lacked respect for their employees, simple as that. Feb 2014, After 3 years waiting, Top Limo in NY called to finally start the 2011 transformer design.

The Transformer H2.2 is a 260” (38 ½ feet) 09 stretched H2 with almost a double decker look. It has a raised roof, a veranda in the rear with canopy, it comes tri-axle and it has an amazing interior. Isidro explains that this size and design requires a lot of expertise, especially with strict NY DOT standards. It weights a whopping 16,000 lbs.! Due to the length of the span of the panels, if not correctly reinforced can lead to sagging of the center panels, causing too much tension on the doors of the vehicle, to say nothing of the intricacies of the tri-axel construction. To reduce the NY road abuse and have a more comfortable ride, Isidro devised a complete four link air ride system at the rear that can be adjusted by the driver. The last axle can also be raised and tucked in. The braking system at rear is also updated to 8 piston disk brakes that are adapted to the original system, making the build incredibly easy to stop, even when full of customers.

here The NY build gets so much attention on the road that its drivers constantly run out of business cards to pass out. Isidro indicates that the build is expensive, unique combination of limousine/bus/concept but worth the investment. Isidro indicates that it costs the same as a large limo bus, but will be rented more often and will be the star of your fleet, showing your clients and competition that you mean business. If you want a show stopping killer ride, this is it. The design took off and Top NY sold several copies overseas even before the first one was finished, just by showing Isidro’s sketch.

source url Seeing the success of his design and execution decided to go it alone again and he moved his family to South Florida in 2015. He now has a more intricate designs at work and at time of publication, he was currently scouting out buildings and lining up work.
